LAHORE: Even the visit of price control committee’s officials to Sunday bazaars could not bring relief to the consumers as majority of seasonal vegetables were not available in the makeshift bazaars.

Chairman price control committee visited Shadman Sunday Bazaar, but failed to ensure availability of number of vegetables including radish, mongray, cabbage, cauliflower and some offseason items, including ladyfinger, luffa, pumpkin and others at the bazaar. However, he imposed fine on six vendors for overcharging.

No price control mechanism exists anywhere in the city Sunday bazaars.
