LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) senior central leader Ch Pervaiz Elahi has said the rulers can never succeed in their ‘evil designs’.

Pervaiz said this while talking to a delegation led by Islami Jamhoori Ittehad Pakistan chief Allama Zubair Ahmad Zaheer who called on him at his residence here on Wednesday. The PML-Q leader said: We have raised voice over Khatm-e-Nubuwwat (PBUH) issue at every forum; this was the reason that the rulers had to amend their own passed bill and had to restore original Khatm-e-Nubuwwat provision.

The delegation included Ch Ghulam Nabi, Mian Muhammad Asghar, Mian Muhammad Tahir, Rana Muhammad Asif, Haji Mahmud Akram, Mian Ehsan Elahi, Mian Inam Elahi and Rana Muhammad Wasif among others.

Lauding religious and social services of PML-Q under the leadership of Ch Shujaat Hussain and Ch Pervaiz Elahi, Allama Zubair said: “As Punjab chief minister Pervaiz Elahi’s tenure was golden, not a single incidence of sectarianism had occurred during entire five years period, because of the board comprising Ulema of all schools of thought, complete law and order prevailed throughout Punjab during Muharram and other religious days and assured Islami Jamhoori Ittehad will continue cooperation with the PML-Q at every level.”

Moonis: The PML-N has criminally allocated vital funds to "exhibitionist projects" like Orange Line Train and Metro Bus Service while overlooking the present and future water needs of the nation, alleged Pakistan Muslim League-Q central leader Moonis Elahi. During a meeting with PML-Q Policy Development Group in Lahore, the PML-Q leader said that Pakistan might run out of water by 2025 if urgent measures were not taken as severe water shortage was already having an extremely negative impact on the country's economic and public health.

Moonis Elahi, quoting a recent research, warned that by 2025 Pakistan water demand would rise to 274 MAF while its water supply would be down to 191 MAF, creating an unbridgeable water deficit of 83 MAF. He said that rapidly increasing population coupled with poor water resource management, non-allocation of funds for building a sustainable water infrastructure and PML-N government's failure to prepare a comprehensive water policy were the reasons for the imminent crisis.
