Bus kills student

A student of Punjab University Wednesday was killed by a bus in Muslim Town police limits. The victim was identified as Iram, a student of PU College of Statistical and Actuarial Sciences. She was trying to cross the road when a speeding bus hit her. She received multiple injuries. She was rushed to hospital where she died. The accused driver fled the scene. Meanwhile, Punjab University students protested against and demanded immediate arrest of accused driver. The protest resulted into traffic jam for over an hour. PU VC Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir expressed sorrow over demise of PU student and prayed that the departed soul may rest in peace and may Almighty Allah grant courage to the bereaved family.
