Like other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the recent rain has turned the weather colder in Buner as well. Residents have confined themselves to their homes and apartments to avoid the cold waves. The entire valley, including the plain and hilly terrains, is covered with a white blanket of thick fog. For farmers, the rain is nothing less than a blessing since it will prove to be even more beneficial for their wheat crop.
The spell of rain will also play a vital role in combating the existing water crisis to a great extent. Because of a long drought season, dried water reservoirs in most parts of the district compelled people to run from pillar to post to find pure water for drinking and domestic purposes. Now, residents can have a proper supply of water.
