NOWSHERA: A man was killed and another sustained injuries in a road accident in Akora Khattak town of Nowshera district on Monday, official sources said.
They said Ata Muhammad and Fazal Mabood were crossing the GT Road near Iraqabad in the limits of the Akora Khattak Police Station when a speeding vehicle (Peshawar-6566) struck them.
As a result, Ata Muhammad was killed on the spot while Fazal Mabood sustained injuries. The driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene.
The body and the injured were taken to the hospital where condition of the injured was stated to be stable.The police registered a case and started investigation.
