School, college students feature in Fun Run

LAHORE: The Fun Run in build up to 2018 Jakarta – Palembang Asian Games was held here at Wapda Sports Complex on Thursday. A large number of students of schools and college and prominent players took part in the ceremony to mark the start of similar activity going to be held in 28 countries of the 42 participating nations of 2018 Jakarta – Palembang Asian Games - Indonesia to be held there from August 18 to September 02, 2018.
A three-member OCA delegation was also present on the occasion while Wapda Sports Board President Amer Ahmed was the chief guest of the event. OCA media manager Jian Zhou read out the OCA president Sheikh Ahmed AlFahd Al Saba message for the Jakarta Games. He gave some details of coming games, saying around 45 countries will be represented by 4000 athletes and this fun run which is going to be conducted in another 27 countries is part of the awareness development stride towards sports. The officials also praised POA president Lt Gen Arif and secretary Khalid Mahmud for such a magnificent event. Later certificates were distributed among the participants of the Fun Run.
