CDA elections results

Islamabad: In a major upset, the Labour Union of Amanullah Khan Group defeated CDA Mazdoor Union of Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen Group by a margin of over 500 votes in CDA Union referendum held on Monday.
Amanullah Khan Group secured 5,964 votes while Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen managed 5,415 thanks to big support from employees of environment wing and sanitation workers. The Amanaullah Group also secured big from three polling stations at the chairman office.
Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen whose group continued to win CDA workers referendum from the year 2005 to 2014. However, the CDA referendum in 2015 could not be organized due to transfer of CDA wings and employees to the Municipal Corporation of Islamabad (MCI).
