LAHORE: Cold and dry weather with scattered clouds was observed in the provincial capital here Monday while Met office predicted isolated rains during the next 24 hours.
Met officials said a shallow westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country and likely to persist during next few days. They predicted mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country while rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds (snowfall over the hills) is expected at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara divisions and GB.
Met officials said that shallow foggy conditions are likely to prevail over few plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning hours. No rainfall was recorded in any part of the country till Monday evening, the officials said. They said that Monday’s minimum temperature was recorded at Kalat where mercury dropped down to -08°C.
