KARACHI: The Millennium University College (TMUC), Karachi organised a professional transnational academia-industry partnership symposium in an effort to bridge the gap between industry and the academia recently, a statement said on Saturday.
The theme for the symposium was “The future of professional accountants”, it added. ACCA Pakistan was the knowledge partner for the event.
The Millennium University College Founder and Chief Executive Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq (TI) said, “The only constant in today’s world is ‘change’. From new skills and innovation to changing roles, we analyse where the future will take the next generation of finance professionals.”
“The global economy is fast changing, unforgiving and competitive. The accountancy profession needs to ensure that its members have the knowledge, skills and competency to help organisations sustain economic growth and compete nationally and internationally,” he added.
He also urged the students and academia present to make the most out of such opportunities, as it is important that networking starts early on for a successful career for millennials.
