Hobson’s choice

The civilian and military leadership visited Karachi with the unequivocal message that success in the anti-terror operation is inevitably the only choice Pakistan has. The Sindh government has been told that it needs to beef up its efforts sincerely to contribute towards achieving the everlasting peace in Pakistan.
The National Action Plan has already been given as a guideline to all the provinces, so only sincere efforts and untainted devotion is required by all the stakeholders to effectively implement it. The leadership expressed its resolve that indiscriminate action will be taken against all forms and shapes of terrorism while purging all state institutions – like the police force – of political influence. Steps like this will enable our security forces to work fearlessly with the prime objective to achieve peace and security.
