PTDC MD slates celebration of Black Friday

Rawalpindi: Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) Managing Director Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor Khan has said that the celebration of Black Friday by a few businessmen is bringing Friday the bad name of black just to blindly follow the West.
Friday is a gift for Muslims which is a holy, blessed, and virtuous day. Black Friday celebration is just meaningless. Businessmen can use other ways for their business expansion and publicity or sales etc. Islam does not allow us celebration of non-religious festivals.
The PTDC MD added that people on social media blindly follow posts without any research on any matter. The famous festivals such as Valentine’s and Black Friday have nothing to do with our society.
