No gas shortage this winter

LAHORE :Natural gas is being supplied to all sectors, including power sector and there is no gas shortage during winter, said Amjad Latif, Managing Director Sui Northern Gas Pipe Lines Limited (SNGPL).
Talking to reporters after visiting a medical camp established for SNGPL employees on Wednesday, Amjad Latif said uninterrupted gas supply to CNG sector would also continue during the winter. He said people are facing problem of low pressure in some areas due to use of compressors, saying company has decided to take strict action against them.
To a question, SNGPL MD said one million new gas connections will be given to domestic consumers while 2.4 million applications of domestic consumers are pending with SNGPL.
Earlier, he paid visit to the camp. On the occasion, he said that company employees must ensure their good health along with office work.
The camp would provide medical treatment to the employees in general healthcare, blood pressure, cholesterol, bone density scan, eyes refraction, PFT and others.
Senior General Manager Business Development, S. Jawad Naseem, Farrukh Majeed (General Manager Health, Safety & Environment), Nadeem Ashraf (General Manager Admin), Amjad Mumtaz (General Manager Corrosion Control), Amjid Ikram (Chief Officer Media Affairs) and other officials were present on the occasion.
