Without footpath
November 23, 2017
The Defence Housing Authority (DHA) in Karachi now reeks of mismanagement and poor planning. It is quite odd that in most of the residential areas there are no footpaths for pedestrians. Service roads at many places have been removed to widen the roads. This highlights the poor town planning by the authorities who are bent upon cashing each and every inch of their territorial jurisdiction without any mind to public welfare.
Will the higher authorities look into this irregularity and urge the DHA and concerned cantonments to abide by international rules and mitigate the problem faced by the public due to lack of footpaths?
