Girls school reopens in Bara after 12 years

BARA: The Government Girls Primary School in Akakhel in Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency was reopened after 12 years on Monday.
Col Imran of the Mahsud Scouts, a wing of paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC) in Milward, and Agency Education Officer of Khyber Agency, Jadoon Wazir, formally performed the reopening. An official of FC told reporters that the school had remained closed since 2005 when militancy was on its peak in the area.
He said a demand by the area people and local elders had been met and now the girl student could receive education at the school.
