Three POs arrested through Interpol

GUJRANWALA: Police have arrested three proclaimed offenders (PO)s involved in terrorism, murder and dacoities through Interpol.
Talking to media here on Sunday, CPO Ashfaq Khan told that accused Muhammad Usman and Ehsanullah gunned down a citizen and injured three persons on October 27, 2016.
Third accused Tariq Javed was involved in terrorism and murder case. All the accused were escaped abroad after the incidents. Gujranwala police contacted the Interpol for their arrest and managed to arrest accused Usman and Tariq from Saudi Arabia, and Ehsan from Dubai through Interpol.
ACE ARRESTS EIGHT GOVT OFFICIALS FOR CORRUPTION: In various raids, the teams of Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) have arrested eight government officials involved in corruption and misuse of powers from Gujranwala and Gujrat. Accused M Aslam, M Asif and M Saleem were involved in bogus recruitments in the education department. Tahir Shah, secretary union council, was involved in issuing bogus birth and death certificates.
Attiq, senior clerk of the education department, was involved in misuse of powers while Gujrat tehsildar Ghulam Fareed, Patwari Siddique and Afzal were involved in corruption. After completion of inquiries, allegations levelled against them were proved. The ACE teams conducted raids and arrested all the accused.
Three killed on road: Three persons, including a matriculation student were killed in a road accident at Harpoki on Sunday.
Reportedly, a van collided with a rickshaw. As result, Umair, Ayub, Akram and Ali received injuries and were rushed to hospital. Umair, Ayub and Akram succumbed to their injuries on the way to hospital while Ali is under treatment at DHQ hospital.
