LRH Eye Dept head honoured for research on cornea diseases

PESHAWAR: Head of the Eye Department, Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar, Dr Mahfooz Hussain, has been honoured with two gold medals for his research work on the cornea diseases.
The awards were given at an annual eye conference arranged recently at Hyderabad in Sindh.
The Ophthalmological Society of Pakistan had organised the moot which was attended by eye specialists from various parts of the country.
Dr Mahfooz was awarded a gold medal for being the best ophthalmologist of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The second gold medal was handed to him for his best scientific presentation during 2017.
Apart from being the head of his department at the LRH, Dr Mahfooz Hussain is also general secretary of Ophthalmological Society of Pakistan and General Secretary of Cornea Association of Pakistan.
