LAHORE: Daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif Maryam Nawaz Saturday questioned where are those 72 members of the National Assembly from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) about whom it was said that they were quitting the party. While talking to journalists during her visit to NA-120, Maryam said it might be someone’s wish to see 72 leaders of PML-N resign from the party, but it was not the case in reality, as she could not see anything like that happening.
Maryam said the party was intact and those who were trying to break it will fail. She said that in the 2018 elections the tiger will roar and the PML-N will win with clear majority.
Maryam visited Union Council 52 in NA-120 and met with the party workers and local government representatives and listened to their problems. The people said they are facing sewerage and clean drinking water issues. Maryam assured them to resolve their problems.
Maryam said that the time has changed and now people are not scared and they are speaking freely. She said the
problems of workers and masses will be resolved. She said the problems of the people of the constituency will be resolved on priority basis.
Maryam said now the health of her mother Begum Kulsoom Nawaz is better, adding that she has no program to visit London. About cases against Nawaz Sharif and Hassan and Hussain Nawaz, Maryam said she was hopeful a better decision would be reached.
