Seven schemes approved

LAHORE :The Punjab government on Friday approved seven development schemes of different sectors at an estimated cost of Rs13.936 billion.
These schemes were approved in the 31 meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2017-18 presided by P&D Chairman Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan. The approved development schemes included; ‘Third Party Evaluation of Literacy Interventions’ (PC-II) at the cost of Rs26.795 million, ‘Introduction of Mobile Health Units’ at tehsil level (Outsource) (Revised) at the cost of Rs835.889 million, ‘Establishment of Institute of Urology and Transplantation’ Rawalpindi (Revised) at the cost of Rs4,071.919 million, ‘Establishment of Medical Stores for Supply Chain of Medicines’ in Punjab at the cost of Rs1138.260 million, ‘Doubling of Sialkot-Eminabad Road upto Dharam Kot’ length = 37.20 km (Phase-I) District Sialkot (Revised) at the cost of Rs1,121.174 million, ‘Doubling of Chiniot-Faisalabad Road’ (Phase-I) District Chiniot at the cost of Rs3,215.570 million and ‘Establishment of Hepatitis Clinic and G-I departments’ in all tertiary care hospitals in Punjab at the cost of Rs3526.620 million.
P&D Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahu, all members of the Planning & Development Board, provincial secretaries concerned and P&D Coordination-II Assistant Chief Hafiz Muhammad Iqbal attended the meeting.
