Peshawar defeat Islamabad by 3 wickets

RAWALPINDI: Israrullah’s (56) timely half-century helped Peshawar Region beat Islamabad Region by three wickets as the National T20 Cup matches finally got under way here at Pindi Stadium following a couple of days’ rain.
Islamabad were restricted to 128 all out with Peshawar reaching the target in 20th over. Israr who smashed three sixes and four boundaries during his 50-ball knock played lead role in his team’s success. While Hasan Ali (1-33) was expensive for Islamabad, Mohammad Irfan (2-9) put in best efforts for Islamabad.
Earlier, Hasan (35) played well smashing three sixes and two fours in his innings. For Peshawar, Kashif Bhatti (2-22), Sohail Khan (2-23), Imran Khan Sr. (2-28) and Waqas Maqsood (2-28) bowled well.
