ECP disqualifies PTI MPA
ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday disqualified Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Shah Mohammad Khan Wazir under Section 4.
Shah Mohammad Wazir has also been working as advisor to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak.
Malik Naeem Khan, opponent of Shah Mohammad Wazir, had approached the Election Commission of Pakistan, pleading that the MPA and his family was involved in anti-state
activities and that his name was on the Exit Control List (ECL). It was said that that he had concealed all these things while contesting election in 2013.
Malik Naeem Khan had asked the ECP to disqualify the MPA on the above grounds.
The ECP bench headed by Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan disqualified Shah Mohammad Wazir and his brother Gul Baz Khan, who is a member of Bannu District Council.
