CM orders judicious compensation payment
PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has directed for the proper and just compensation of the affectees of different projects being implemented under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
He was talking to a delegation of District Batagram led by ex MPA Taj Muhammad Tarand at Chief Minister’s Secretariat here, said a handout.
SMBR, Commissioner Hazara, DC Batagram, GM NHA Abbotabad and Collector CPEC Hazara Region were also present on the occasion.
He asked the relevant quarters to remove the complaints and reservations of the affectees.
He said the provincial government would ensure merit base transparent fulfillment of legal formalities and requirements for the compensation of affectees. “The government has already laid down a formula for the compensation and no-one would get any injustice,” he added.
“We would take and make decisions under the law and would fulfill all the legal requirements to settle down the complaints and reservations of the affectees.
The chief minister asked the relevant quarters to entertain the applications of the affectees related to the CPEC projects in different sectors including forests, communication, irrigation and other departments. The deputy commissioner would ensure prompt action, he added.
Pervez Khattak directed the deputy commissioner to visit different places to resolve the complaints and reservations of the affectees.
He also directed to give him a complete report by September 15 for final decision to compensate all the affectees through a uniform approach. The chief minister was also informed about the progress report of the previous meeting held on July 2017.
