LAHORE :Partly cloudy weather was observed in the city here Thursday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.
Met officials said seasonal low lies over North West Balochistan while moderate monsoon currents are still penetrating upper parts of the country. They added that a westerly wave is also affecting upper parts of the country.
Met officials predicted that mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country while rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Zhob divisions, Islamabad, Fata, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
Rainfall was recorded in several cities, including Toba Tek Singh, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Murree, Chakwal, Dera Ghazi Khan, Okara, Joharabad, Garhi Dupatta, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Dir, Lower Dir, Skardu, and Barkhan. Thursday’s maximum temperature was recorded at Nokkundi where mercury reached 41°C while in Lahore, it was 35°C, minimum was 19.5°C and humidity level was 47 percent.
