LAHOREINFORMATION Technology University (ITU) Vice-Chancellor Dr Umar Saif, who is also Chairman of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), resigned from both posts on Friday.However, the resignation was not accepted by the Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. INFORMATION Technology University (ITU) Vice-Chancellor Dr Umar Saif, who is also Chairman of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), resigned from both posts on Friday.
However, the resignation was not accepted by the Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. So he will continue working against the two posts. Sources privy to the developments said Dr Umar Saif had resigned as he had reservations vis-à-vis recent selection of Chairman of the NADRA. Dr Umar was not available for comments.
Meanwhile in a press release a spokesman for ITU said Dr Umar Saif had not resigned from the post of vice chancellor.
