LAHORE :Scattered rain was reported in the city on Thursday while Met Office predicted similar weather conditions in the next 24 hours.
Met officials said marked seasonal low lay over North Balochistan while monsoon currents were penetrating upper parts of the country. They added that a westerly wave was affecting upper parts of the country.
Met officials predicted that mainly hot and humid weather was expected in most parts of the country while rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds were likely at isolated places in upper Punjab, including Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore, Faisalabad divisions; upper KP, including Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan divisions; DG Khan, Bahawalpur divisions, Islamabad, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
On Thursday, rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds occurred at scattered places in Rawalpindi division and Islamabad while at isolated places in Gujranwala, Lahore, Peshawar, Kalat, Makran divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan. Weather remained hot and humid elsewhere in the country. Rainfall was recorded in several cities, including Rawalpindi, (Chaklala, 72mm, Shamsabad, 54mm), Islamabad (Bokra, 45mm, Golra, 36mm, Zero Point, 22mm, Saidpur, 03mm, Mangla 45mm) Jhelum, 29mm.
