Despite a lapse of almost three years, the FPSC has not finalised the selection process for the positions of the deputy secretary of the National Assembly of Pakistan. The FPSC announced 10 vacant positions in July 2014 and conducted a written test in December 2014. Two years later, in July 2016, successful candidates were called for an interview. Since then, the selected candidates have been waiting for the results of the interview.
It is being said that because of the recruitment of employees on a contractual basis on these positions, from section officer to the secretary of the National Assembly, these positions are not being filled by deserving candidates who have passed a written test for the job. The relevant authorities must announce the interview results on an urgent basis. All successful candidates must be sent an employment letter at the earliest.
