PESHAWAR: Three senior officials have assumed charge of their offices as the Peshawar’s Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system is coming closer to reality.
TransPeshawar, an urban mobility company, was established by the KP government to oversee construction, operations and management of Peshawar BRT, said an official handout.
The board of TransPeshawar Company appointed Altaf Durrani as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Fayyaz Khan, general manager (planning & construction) and Mohammad Imran Khan, general manager (operations and marketing).
CEO Altaf Durrani graduated from University of Engineering and Technology (UET) in Peshawar. He completed his masters in civil engineering from Canada and worked in the Transport Department there as projects coordinator.
Fayyaz Khan did masters from a university in Canada and has worked for the Ministry of Transport there.
Imran Khan is a graduate of UET, Peshawar, and did his masters in Urban Planning and Transportation system from Korea.
He has worked on the development of the BRT system in Lahore, Islamabad and Multan and until recently was working on the Lahore Orange Train Project.
