KARACHI: AIPS Asia secretary and Pakistan Sports Writers Federation (PSWF) president Amjad Aziz Malik held a meeting with the Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri at his office in Quetta on Wednesday.
Amjad, a renowned sports journalist, informed the chief minister about the international sports conference which would be hosted by Pakistan in Islamabad from October 5-8. The conference will be attended by 60 sports journalists from 30 nations.
The chief minister was also informed that the international sports press association’s (AIPS) chief Gianni Merlo of Italy will also attend the conference.Zehri accepted the invitation for attending the conference and said that it would help boost the image of Pakistan. “It’s a great step and will boost the image of the country,” Zehri was quoted as saying.
Amjad also presented the chief minister his new book. Amjad said that during the conference the international media representatives would be informed about Pakistan’s sports. He said that the visitors would also be shown documentaries of national federations, Peshawar Zalmi, the PSL-2 champions, and other organisations. Amjad is also expected to meet Sindh’s Governor and Chief Minister and representatives of major organisations in Karachi in a couple of days.
