LAHORE: Speakers of the 7th international cancer surgery conference Wednesday termed cancer the second leading cause of deaths in Pakistan.
According to a press release, the speakers, addressing a conference organized by an organization to enhance quality of cancer surgery care in the country, said cancer is one of the commonest killers of the people all over the world.
They said majority of cancer patients are initially seen and managed by surgeons and surgery alone cures 60 per cent of cancer patients.Cancer surgeons from UK, USA, Spain, Germany, Sweden, France, Korea, India, Bangladesh and Middle East also delivered live lectures through Global Video link to the participants of the moot.The conference will conclude at a Lahore hotel where more than 50 cancer surgeons will present their research work.
