KARACHI: A delegation from the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) visited Doha Qatar from August 13-14 to discuss the matters of bilateral trade, investment and mutual cooperation, a statement said on Tuesday.
The delegation was headed by FPCCI president Zubair Tufail, accompanied by Bahria Foundation chairman vice admiral Azhar Shamim Anwer (retd), Javed Akhai of Martin Dow Pharma, Asim Mustufa of Getz Pharma, Dr Mustafa Kamal of Big Bird Group, and Khochra of Rajby Industries.
The delegation held various high level meetings with representatives of the business community of Qatar, Pak-Qatar Joint Business Council, and Qatar Investment Authority. The delegation held a meeting of Pak-Qatar Joint Business Council in Qatar Chambers of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) and met QCCI vice chairman Muhammad Bin Twar Al Kuwari.
The team also met senior members of Qatar Investment Authority and invited them to invest in major projects of Pakistan in the fields of infrastructure development, steel manufacturing and oil refinery. Qatari authorities invited Pakistani businessmen to set up their industries in Qatar as a result of the liberal policies of the government.
