Man murders uncle over petty issue
LAHORE
A man killed his maternal uncle over a petty issue in the Bhati Gate police area on Friday.
The victim has been identified as Akram. Police said accused Mohsin and his brother started quarreling over the issue of firing into the air during a birthday party at Mohalla Samia.
The victim tried for reconciliation between both brothers, over which, Mohsin allegedly shot Akram dead.
Police have registered a case on the complaint of the victim’s wife, Nighat. Raids are being conducted to arrest the accused. The body has been removed to morgue.
terrorists arrested: Faisalabad CTD claimed to have arrested three terrorists of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) in Faisalabad district on Friday.
According to CTD, four terrorists of the proscribed organization LeJ were present in the district and were planning to carry out terrorist activity in Faisalabad during Independence Day celebrations on August 14. Meanwhile, a CTD team raided Paras Gate on Jhang Road, Faisalabad and arrested three terrorists, identified as Amjad Ali, Ali Khan and Ali Muhammad. However, the fourth terrorist, Muhammad Naeem Akhter, managed to flee from the scene. The CTD team recovered explosives and weapons from their possession.

power theft: A team of FIA raided and found out that theft of electricity being committed at a shop at Barkat Market, Garden Town, on Friday.
According to an FIA official, the raiding team led by Deputy Director FIA Khurram Yousaf found a three phase meter with a dead phase was being used for electricity theft at the shop, Optic Class & Health Mart. A case has been registered against Dr Nadeem Ashraf, owner of the outlet, he said.

A 17-year-old girl ended her life by consuming poisonous pills in the Kahna area. The girl, Jovaria, was depressed after being admonished by her sister over an unknown issue.
Meanwhile, a 22-year-old youth, Altaf, committed suicide by taking kerosene oil in the Shahdara Town area. He had got depressed after being admonished by her mother for using phone late at night.

Victim Waqas of Shadbagh was crossing a road when a rashly driven bike hit and killed him.
