ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) called off its planned symbolic protests today to put pressure on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to step down after the Supreme Court announced to unveil its judgement in the PanamaLeaks case today (Friday).
A team of former legislators Thursday joined PTI here, including the sister of former chairman Senate Muhammad Mian Soomro, Maleeha Soomro, Mumtaz Ali Mirani and Nuzhat Pathan.
PTI Rawalpindi district has also planned demonstration before the residence of PML-N’s Hanif Abbasi Friday afternoon for allegedly using foul language against party chairman Imran Khan. According to district leader Zahid Hussain Kazmi, the party workers were outraged by the foul language used by Abbasi against their leader.
