Suicide attacks in Pakistan have taken a heavy toll on the lives of innocent civilians and security personnel. The recent Lahore blast is an example of such brazen attacks. This time the heartless terrorists targeted the busiest road near the Arfa Karim IT Tower. Twenty six people, including nine police officials, were martyred and more than fifty people secured critical injuries.
There is no denying the fact that the ongoing military operations in different parts of the country have helped a lot in bringing the terrorists outfits to their knees. However, to crush extremism and terrorism from the roots, the concerned authorities will have to review NAP critically. Whenever an incident of terror takes place, condolences and condemnations started pouring in from various corners, but only verbal remedies will not work until well-thought-out plans and strategies are adopted and enforced in a full-fledged manner.
