QAU inks MoU for plantation
Islamabad: Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Mohammad Ali Saeed Foundation for the plantation of fruit trees on campus.
The initiative is meant to create natural and pleasing environment on campus and engage students in environment conservation activities, including afforestation.
Dr. Javed Ashraf, vice-chancellor of the QAU, and Asrar Saeed, chairman of the MASF, signed the MoU during a special ceremony here.
The MASF provides region-based, technical knowledge for fruit tree plantation across Pakistan.
According to the MoU, the foundation will provide plants and maintain fruit trees on campus.
QAU Alumni Association president Sikandar Ahmed Rai and secretary Muhammad Murtaza Noor and members of the university's administrative staff attended the MoU signing ceremony.
