PARACHINAR: The security of Parachinar has been handed over to the Pakistan Army to avert terrorist incidents in the future, sources said.
The sources said that security of the Parachinar town, the headquarters of Kurram Agency, was handed over to the Pakistan Army in the wake of the devastating twin suicide bombing on June 23 that killed more than 40 persons and caused injuries to many more. The soldiers now check every vehicle entering the city.
Mock exercises are also being conducted to cope with an emergency situation in the wake of any untoward incident.
The tribesmen have expressed satisfaction over the security arrangements by the security forces. They also asked the forces to enhance security at the Pak-Afghan border.
