Journalist dies

MULTAN: Senior journalist Syed Maqbool Hussain Bokhari died after a protracted illness at the Nishtar Hospital here on Tuesday.
He was 70. He left a wife and two sons. Scores of people, including journalists, lawyers and traders, attended his funeral. Meanwhile, Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Khawaja Jalaluddin Rumi, former presidents Fareed Mughees Sheikh, Mian Iqbal Hassan, Khawaja Muhammad Usman, Khawaja Muhammad Yousaf, Khawaja Muhammad Abdullah, Mian Tanveer, Anis Ahmed Sheikh, APBUMA chairman Khawaja Muhammad Younis, Dry Port Trust chairman Khawaja Muhammad Fazil, All Pakistan Powerlooms Association president Khaliq Qandeel Ansari, Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association chairman Dr Jassu Mal and others.
