Islamabad: Pakistan Meteorological Department on Monday has said strong monsoon currents are penetrating into southern and north eastern parts of the country and there will more rain in different parts of the country including twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad during next 24 hours.
A westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country and likely to persist during the next few days.Rain and thunderstorm (with isolated heavy falls) are expected at a number of places in Kashmir, Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions), Hazara, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad divisions, while at scattered places in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, D. G Khan, Multan, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad, Karachi, Sibbi, Zhob, Naseerabad divisions and Gilgit Baltistan in the next 24 hours.
Rain and thunderstorm occurred at scattered places in Rawalpindi,Faisalabad, Malakand, Hazara, Quetta, Kalat, Mirpurkhas divisions, Mithi,Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir on Sunday. The weather remained hot and humid in other parts of the country.
