LAHORE: At least 695 road accidents were reported in the provincial monitoring cell of the Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) in all 37 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours, in which four lives were lost and 640 seriously injured people were shifted to different hospitals of relevant districts and tehsils.
However, some 205 victims, who sustained minor injuries, were discharged on the spot after the provision of first aid by emergency medical teams. According to the data, 326 drivers, 17 underage drivers, 98 pedestrians and 425 passengers were among the victims.
The statistics show that 123 accidents were reported in Lahore Control Room, which affected 124 persons placing the provincial capital at top of the list followed by 61 in Faisalabad with 74 victims and Multan with 33 accidents and 41 victims.
