A man was shot and injured by robbers on resistance in the city’s Surjani Town area on Monday.  Officials said two robbers on a motorbike had held up 54-year-old Muhammad Rafiq and ordered him to hand over his money and other valuables. The victim resisted their demand and the suspects shot him at close range.  The robbers made off with Rafiq’s money and valuables, while the victim was rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

Stabbing

A man was injured in a knife attack in Orangi Town. The attack, police said, was driven by a personal dispute.  The victim was identified as 30-year-old Asif, son of Yousuf, and he was taken to the ASH for treatment.

Suicide

A 26-year-old man working as a security guard ended his life by shooting himself at an electronics service centre on Khayaban-e-Nishat in DHA.  Darakhshan police’s SHO Ehsan Zulfiqar said Abu Bakar, son of Zubair Salman, took his own life by shooting himself inside a bathroom of the service centre. The SHO said CCTV footage showed the deceased entering the bathroom with a gun in hand. His body was shifted to the JPMC.
