An important case
This is to draw the attention of the CJP to the ongoing media trials and verbal fighting with regard to the Panama case. Such disgraceful conduct of party workers and media persons is neither seen nor heard in any civilised part of the world. Derogatory remarks by workers on each side has not only reduced the country into a laughing stock around the world, but has tarnished the image of Pakistani courts as well. Being the highest court of Pakistan, the SC has a great decorum that should never be compromised by allowing press briefings and reporting of media persons on its premises. It is requested that besides normal reporting on the print and electronic media, all other media-related activities must be stopped through an executive order to the concerned ministry.
