Promoting tourism

In order to promote tourism, top-notch facilities should be provided to all tourists. Both the domestic and foreign tourists who visited famous tourist spots in Kaghan, Naran and Malam Jabba have complained about the lack of basic facilities at these places. Since the PTDC is an independent corporation it must meet all the needs of tourists. For this purpose it may ask assistance from the KP and federal governments. This is in fact a long-term investment. Tourism can play a major role in bringing foreign exchange to the country.

The PTDC must install dust bins at suitable places so that litter is properly disposed. The existing hotels and motels must be renovated and new ones must be constructed to accommodate a large number of people. Consolidated efforts from each shareholder can bring real change in promoting tourism and can create jobs for unemployed Pakistanis. The PTDC must appoint interpreters for the guidance of foreigner. It must ensure that hiking treks are properly maintained so that tourists can trek without any difficulty. It must also ensure that motels are offering hygienic food to the tourists during their stay. It should also distribute brochures for the guidance of foreign tourists so that they could see each and every spot of scenic beauty.
