LAHORE: Justice Shams Mahmood Mirza of the Lahore High Court would take up next week a petition seeking removal of Chairman of Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) Zafar Hijazi for allegedly tampering with the record to rescue ruling family in Panama Papers case.
Zahoor Ali, a lawyer, filed the petition pleading that Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) already registered a case against the SECP chairman on the order of the Supreme Court. He said it had been established that the respondent misused his powers and committed forgery in the government documents to protect the family against the charges of money laundering and corruption.
