Pakistan finish at ninth spot in World U17 Beach Handball

KARACHI: Pakistan defeated Australia 2-0 to finish at ninth spot out of 16 teams in the Men’s Youth (Under-17) Beach Handball World Championships 2017 in Mauritius late on Saturday night.
The set score of the Green-shirts against Australia in the play-off outing was 28-19, 23-16.Earlier in their opener, Pakistan went down to Chinese Taipei 1-2 with set score of 20-16, 22-30 and 45-50. In the next game, Pakistan defeated Mauritius 2-0 with the set score of 24-13, 28-16. Then in the main round Pakistan outgunned Venezuela 2-1 before losing to Russia 0-2 with the score of 12-17, 17-19. However, Pakistan did a marvellous job against Australia to end their journey at the ninth place.
