ISLAMABAD: The upcoming elections for 52 seats of the Senate, speculations about new governor Punjab and Sindh situation were the subject f discussion among the guests Saturday evening during the walima reception hosted by former president and eminent jurist Wasim Sajjad for his son Omar Sajjad at a local hotel.
It was well attended reception despite extreme chill. Prominent guests from all parts of the country attended it including Leader of the House in Senate Raja Muhammad Zafarul Haq, former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, former deputy speaker National Assembly Haji Muhammad Nawaz Khokhar, Governor KP Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan, Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik, Asad Junejo, Khawaja Zaheer Ahmad, former senator Haji Abdul Majeed Faqeer, Qaiser Majeed Malik, Dr Aysha Raisani, former interior minister Malik Habibullah, Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, retired an and serving judges of the superior judiciary, bureaucrats and lawyers.
The guests were expressing satisfaction bout cessation of active hostility between the government and the PTI. Some guests were of the view that it’s lull before the storm as the ceasefire is short lived.
