LAHORE: Ajoka theatre‘s three-day acting workshop started in Lahore on Friday. The workshop is being conducted by actor-director Nirvaan Nadeem and aims to train young people in the art of acting for theatre and television.
Ajoka’s Executive Director Shahid Nadeem welcomed the participants and stressed that artistes should learn the acting skills but should also develop a bond with the society. During the workshop, participants will attend various sessions on expressions, dialogue delivery, script reading and movement. Nirvaan, assisted by Ajoka’s Anum Zaheer, will conduct various exercises and games to teach the skills of acting followed by improvisations of various characters and situations.
On Saturday, veteran theatre and TV personalities Naeem Tahir and Yasmin Tahir will talk about the differences between stage and TV acting and the importance of voice training. On Sunday, TV star Savera Nadeem will share her experiences as a theatre and TV artiste.
The participants of the workshop include young students from Lahore, Rahimyar Khan and Faisalabad.
