Qatari prince refuses to meet JIT in Pak Embassy: two members return from Doha
ISLAMABAD: Qatari Prince Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber al Thani refused to meet members of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) constituted to probe PanamaLeaks case against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's family on Wednesday, stating that he would only meet them at his office.
Sources said the JIT members Brigadier Kamran Khurshid and Irfan Mangi returned to Pakistan and arrived at Benazir International Airport at 7:00 am on Wednesday via flight EK-0612.
They said the JIT members insisted that the Qatari Prince should come to the Pakistan Embassy in Doha (Qatar) to record his statement in the context of the PanamaLeaks case. However, the sources said the prince refused to meet the members of the JIT at the Pakistani Embassy and said he would only meet the JIT members at his office.
