PAKPATTAN: Two people Friday suffered critical injuries over petty issues in separate incidents.
Allah Bakhsh and his relatives were coming back from court when Zeeman band his accomplices attacked and injured them.
In the second incident, Muhammad Abbas and his accomplices injured Saddique over an issue of removing a donkey cart from a place.
LOCALS MUGGED: Two people were deprived of valuables on Friday.
Muhammad Afatab, of village Bachianwali, tehsil Minchanabad, district Bahawalnagar was on the way to home in a car. Near Bongga Hayyat locality, some eight dacoits intercepted him and looted cash, gold ornaments, two cell phones and others things worth Rs 154,000 from him.
In the second incident, two thieves stole bricks, doors, wood worth Rs 24,000 from the house of Karim Bakash, of Chak Barimpur.
KIDNAPPING BID FOILED: Some gunmen tried to abduct a woman on Friday.
Bushra Bibi had filed a case against Sabah Saddique and others. On the day of incident, she was present in a court when twelve people including Sabah and his accomplices arrived and tried to kidnap her.
She raised a hue and cry and when people started gathering the accused ran away.
BAITUL MAAL CHAIRMAN: Pakistan Biatul Maal district Pakpattan president told reporters that with the cooperation of the PBM two schools have been established and students of these schools would be given scholarships as well.
He said poor and deserving people would be treated by the department.
FOREIGNER HELD: Police arrested a foreigner during search operation.
Rang Shah police arrested foreigner Jasheed Ali from Adda Rang Shah. The foreigner was without travel documents.
