Rs10m for flood-damaged Chitral road released
CHITRAL: Member Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Syed Sardar Hussain Shah said the government has released Rs10 million for rehabilitation of the flood-damaged Yarkhun Road.
Talking to locals during his visit to the flood affected area on Sunday, Sardar Hussain said the chief minister had been informed of the situation who had ordered release of Rs 10 million for restoring the road connectivity.
The provincial lawmaker ordered officials to shift machinery to the affected area for launching work on the road repair forthwith. He added that pedestrian pathways should be repaired on priority basis to facilitate locals' movement. He assured locals that government would release funds for complete restoration of the communication network. The legislator directed officials of the Food Department ensure availability 400 wheat bags in the area.
