LAHORE

Jamaat-e-Islami Information Secretary Amirul Azeem has said Nepra report had exposed the government claims regarding ending loadshedding in 2018.

Speaking at an Iftar dinner hosted by JI Mansoora circle, he said since 2013, the rulers had been claiming that loadshedding would be completely ended by 2018. However, he said, the Nepra report had clearly stated that power crisis would not be over by 2018, hence the rules’ claims in this regard were false and an attempt to fool the masses.

Amirul Azeem said all big electricity thieves were sitting in the government and as long as the government did not kick them out, the line losses could not be controlled and the problem of loadshedding could not be solved. He said the prime minister had personally announced that there won’t be loadshedding at Sehr and Iftar time during Ramazan but the people had to face loadshedding even at Sehr and Iftar times.

He said the rulers were intentionally keeping the people in the dark through false slogans. However, he said that the masses would not believe the rulers anymore. He said that the government which could not fulfil any of its promises during the last four and a half years, could not be expected to do wonders during the next six months

Conodolence: Acting Jamaat- e-Islami Ameer Liaqat Baloch has expressed deep concern over a fresh wave of terrorism in the country and said the anti-Pakistan forces were carrying out terrorist activities to support the colonial agenda of subjugating the country.

Speaking at an Iftar party on Saturday, Liaqat Baloch offered condolences to the families of those martyred in Quetta and Parachinar, and prayed for the quick recovery of the injured. He expressed hope that security forces would succeed in wiping out terrorism from the country. Stressing the need for the unity of Muslim Ummah for the liberation of Qibla e Awwal and other occupied Muslim regions, he said unity could be achieved by feeling the agony of our brother Muslims in distress.

He said freedom was the birth right of Palestinians and Kashmiris, and as long as the issues were not resolved, world peace would remain a dream. He said the world powers patronizing Israel continued their game to divide the Muslim world.
