LAHORE
A painting exhibition by Syed Qurbe Mustafa will be opening at Nairang Gallery, Jail Road tomorrow (Saturday) at 5:30pm.
This solo exhibition houses the brilliant works of Syed Qurbe Mustafa, and established artist with 42 paintings in rare water colours and he is one of the last products of the Mayo School of Art.
His works resemble the works of traditional British Water Colourists; he has a remarkable control over the difficult medium of water colours which makes him quite a distinguished master water colourist.
His techniques and style give him a singular position in landscape painting.
Syed’s solo exhibition is certainly a rare feast for the art lovers and students alike since it is the first time ever that Syed has brought his works in an exhibition.
Apart from fluid quality of water colours, his drawing is his basic strength. The guest of honour on this occasion will be Razak Dawood, a known social personality and an Icon in the industrial world of Pakistan. The show will continue until Saturday, 7th February 2015.
