Stepfather strangles three-year-old boy to death
Autopsy report suggests minor subjected to brutal torture before being murdered
A three-year-old boy who was last seen with his stepfather on Sunday was found strangled to death on Tuesday as police recovered his body from a locality of New Karachi.
Ayub Goth Police Post Incharge Wilayat Ali Shah said Ahsan Ali’s body was found in Lasi Goth, from where he was reportedly missing with his stepfather.
Shah said the boy’s mother had filed a missing complaint with the police, but his body was found outside his house on Tuesday morning. .The police official said the minor was kidnapped by his stepfather named Ishaq, adding that according to the mother, the man took the boy on a picnic on Sunday, but both of them had not been seen since then.
The mother said in her statement to the police that she had tried contacting Ishaq but to no avail. Shah said the boy’s biological father resided in Punjab, adding that Ishaq was still at large.
The policeman said the minor’s autopsy report suggested that he was subjected to brutal torture before being strangled to death, adding that the hunt for Ishaq was under way.
